Ground floor refurbishment of a house – including adding a kitchen diner –
Selsey West Sussex

What our clients say
Having recently moved into the area we did not have any contacts and were nervous of using a builder for a fairly major project without recommendations. We were introduced to Chilltime Developments by a local electrician (Frost Electrical) who we had used and trusted. Chilltime Developments worked with us to not only achieve our budget but also to our time schedule. They took responsibility for the project, getting a clear idea of our requirements, budget, plans and in fact frequently helped us achieve cost savings for many high value items.

Would you recommend us?
We would have no hesitation in recommending Chilltime Developments for any building/re-fit project.

Why would you recommend us?
Not only are the Chilltime Developments team good reliable workers they are a pleasure to work with and strive to give project satisfaction and where possible show us means of saving money. We already have Chilltime Developments scheduled for the next stage of our project.

How are we different?
Care and attention to achieving exactly what the clients need whilst offering solid advice where savings can be made and a pleasure to work with.

What small thing impressed you?
This was a big project for us coming not long after a very bad experience of a similar project in our previous house. Chilltime Developments took all the hassle out of this but kept a constant awareness of our needs and our budget.

Children’s Nursery external cladding and complete refurbishment – within Primary School grounds – West Sussex.

What our clients say
Chilltime Developments were amazing during this development. We were a bit concerned at the start, that six weeks would be too tight to get the project completed in. We were even more concerned when the old cladding and walls were taken down and the structure was so flimsy.
Chilltime kept us informed and we met on site every day to discuss the issues and options to resolve them. Chilltime were able to leverage their good supplier relationships to ensure we purchased the right products at good value.
Chilltime carried out a huge amount of work in a short space of time for us. I am writing this review over a year later and I can say that the great quality of their work wasn’t compromised by the speed they carried it out in.
We’ve had loads of compliments from parents and visitors. The children love their new space and equally importantly, so do the staff.

Would you recommend us?
We would recommend Chilltime Developments. In fact we have recommended them to friends and we ourselves will use them again for other projects we decide to take on.

Why would you recommend us?
Chilltime Developments communication is always really good. They have a ‘can do’, ‘no problem’ attitude. The work is always carried out to a high standard. On the odd occasion we have had a product issue, with high wear and tear a constant issue at the nursery, they have always been able to repair or replace like for like with minimal fuss. They are good value for money in relation to other firms we have used. And far more reliable!

What small thing impressed you?
We were due to reopen for the Autumn term unusually on a Friday. On the Thursday night the team worked until 10pm making sure the building was ready and most importantly that it was safe for the children. At 9.30pm they were fixing toilet roll holders to the walls of the kids’ WCs.

Removal and replacement of a conservatory – Selsey West Sussex

What our clients say
Chilltime developments led me through the whole process from dealing with the council to decorating the inside and laying the floor.
The communication was very good and we talked a lot at the planning stage about how it would look at the end. They were able to show me 3d colour pictures of how it would look.
The brickwork matches perfectly with the rest of the house. The roof really works too. Sitting inside is like wearing some light blue sunglasses. I have a double French door with a big step down onto the lawn. I also have side door out onto the deck.
When the old conservatory was removed there was a patio and rockery underneath which we didn’t know and had to be removed.
The box gutter system wasn’t part of the original quote. It was only when the guys went to order the conservatory that the manufacturers decided the roof pitch wasn’t quite steep enough. Despite this Chilltime Developments sourced a box gutter at a better price than ones I had seen and it didn’t delay us too much.
The finished conservatory looks fantastic. They fitted ceramic floor tiles and decorated it for me. The job from start to finish was right on time, even though the weather was pretty awful at times.
My friends and family think it’s great and it has added a new huge chunk of living space for me. I love my garden and it’s like outdoor living inside.

Would you recommend us?
I would definitely recommend Chilltime Developments and I’ve just asked them to start thinking about another job for me at the bungalow.

Why would you recommend us?
Chilltime Developments are really professional. You trust that they know what they are doing and you trust what they tell you. They want to do what’s right for the project rather than just rush to finish it.

What small thing impressed you?
I am really tidy and proud of my garden. The site was cleared and tidied and I could use my garden after they’d gone in the afternoons. They also used the timber from the old deck to build a new one which wraps round one end of the new conservatory and painted it for me. It all looks great.

Updating kitchen into a kitchen diner – Brackelsham West Sussex

What our clients say
We have used Chilltime Developments before, but previously only on commercial properties. They visited our house before this project began and we were able to explain exactly what we wanted and how we wanted the finished area to look. Steve recommended Howdens for the kitchen and Frost Electrical to do the rewire.
During the eight weeks the development took, they kept us fully informed of progress and we were able to discuss any issues as they arose. I had carried out my own price research into a few of the higher value items. Chilltime were able to use some of their own contacts to find the items, such as the Neff built-in cooker and combi-microwave cheaper elsewhere. Steve also introduced me to a granite supplier. I was able to visit their yard and chose the slab of granite that was to be used in my kitchen and at a very competitive price.

Would you recommend us?
We would definitely recommend Chilltime Developments. We have used them in the past and we would use them again.

Why would you recommend us?
Chilltime Developments bring together different skills and the results are excellent. They managed the entire process and kept us informed of progress, timelines and cost projections. They take pride in their work, they are very friendly and update you every day.

How are we different?
They listen to the customer brief and try very hard to achieve it. They are very knowledgeable regarding the tech advancements available, such as underfloor heating and appliances.

They are really keen to leave the customer satisfied and happy.

What small thing impressed you?
Chilltime Developments got the paint code for the kitchen and painted the skirting boards and architraves in the new kitchen/diner the same colour as the kitchen unit doors. I wouldn’t have thought of it and it looks great.
